When we were approached by Firs School they had a large number of unreliable desktop printers and although they knew they wanted to come away from this way of working they didn’t know how. UPrint sat down with the Executive Director and through a handful of meetings we established they wanted to streamline the fleet of print devices within the school without compromising on productivity whilst achieving a saving.

We proposed 4 devices to the school. 3 x A4 and 1 x A3 photocopiers, all to be strategically placed around the school. Additionally, to this we implemented “Follow me Print”, a specialist software that not only vastly reduces print waste, but also allows the end user to retrieve a print job from any device within the school using either a staff ID badge or a personal pin code.

Follow me print overrides standard print requests to print in colour for example, meaning that print costs were vastly reduced.
